AiR Carpintarias 2019 with the collective 22
" FIM DA TERRA"

Artistic residence in Visual Arts. Carpintarias de São Lázaro with the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

The artists in residence this year are the Russian duo formed by Anna Shestakova and Ivan Susarin, who call themselves "22". They answered the challenge to engage the Cultural Center's surrounding community in their artistic project. Therefore, they have promoted a series of open calls, workshops, artistic labs as well as a number of interviews that integrate their film (presented in the exhibition).

The result of this artistic residence was the exhibition " Fim da Terra", a multi-media project, which consisted of an interactive installation, film screening, as well as a performance.
The performance was staged by Branca Leal and David Xarim, both beneficiaries of the Nossa Senhora dos Anjos' Day Center of Santa Casa da Misericórdia, where the artists have also carried out activities.
